Great Plains Toastmasters is a non-profit club located in Plainville, CT., with membership open to the community. Our goal is help people from all walks of life improve their communication and leadership skills.
It is one of more than 100 clubs in District 53 serving Connecticut, Eastern New York and Western Massachusetts, and is a part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization with World Headquarters located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
The first Toastmasters club was established on October 22, 1924, in Santa Ana, California, by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley.

At Great Plains, we realize that for many of us; standing in front of an audience to give a speech is one of the most challenging yet necessary task for anyone striving to become successful in their professional as well as personal lives. That is why we offer a friendly and comfortable environment in which you can develop communication and leadership skills.
You will find people who not only assist you and encourage but make it fun and enjoyable at the same time. Come join the fun!
When and Where? We meet on the first and third Mondays of each month at the Plainville Municipal Center (Town Hall) located right in the center of Plainville on Rte. 372 and Whiting Street. Meetings start at 6:00 p.m. For directions to the meetings, click on the map icon below.
